The North Callaway defense came up big in helping the Thunderbirds ditch a three-game losing streak.
North Callaway put the clamps on the Wright City Wildcats, limiting them to just 147 yards of total offense in a 21-14 Eastern Missouri Conference win on homecoming Friday night.
North Callaway (2-4, 1-2) did its best defensive work after halftime. The Thunderbirds didn't allow a first down in the second half and gave up just 20 yards during that span, all rushing.
