YMCA hosts first Fall Fitness Challenge

The first-ever Fall Fitness Challenge through the YMCA of Callaway County is currently underway — but registration is still open.

The challenge requires participants to complete an average of 150 minutes of physical activity each week. Due to this requirement and the need to complete activities weekly, registration will only be accepted through the end of next week. The challenge is open to all Y and non-Y members and costs $10.

“You have to complete the whole challenge,” said Jennifer Books, fitness coordinator at the YMCA. “I think people can usually remember {workouts} about week back.”

One of the benefits of the challenge, according to Books, is that “physical activity” doesn’t necessarily mean a workout at the gym.
