The Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence is always looking for volunteers. Oct. 1-2 is an opportunity for members of the community to become one of those volunteers.
"With CARDV's funding, we wouldn't be able to do a lot of what we do and what we've picked up in the past without volunteers," said Erica Nanney, executive director. "Having volunteers allows us to spend other funding flexibly so we can provide individualized care to our clients."
The training will take place over the next two nights, from 4-7 p.m.
In the past, training has been held later in the evening, but CARDV moved the time up in anticipation of college students.
"We're hoping to have about ten people," Nanney said. "Most are at local universities, and they're on a different time schedule."
