It might not be Boyd & Boyd, Inc. and Friends' most time-honored Relay For Life fundraiser, but the Daddy-Daughter Date Night has quickly become one of its most anticipated.

The third annual night of dancing, games and memories will return, 4-6:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at KC Country in Kingdom City.

Boyd & Boyd team member Sara Jeffrey said that the event has drawn about 50 pairs of young women and their fathers, uncles, step-fathers and male role models in past years.

"It's an event that once the little girls and their dads can come, pretty much everybody comes back," Jeffrey said. "We're anticipating based on pre-ticket sales and interest ... a larger number this year. I've had calls out of Mexico and Columbia, and it looks like it may become more of a regional event."

Tickets are $25 per child, with $5 for each additional child. The evening includes dancing, games, a corsage, a photo keepsake, crafts and snacks.

Jeffrey said that the chocolate fountain proves to be a popular attraction, and that the younger crowd can expect a special visit from Santa. After a keepsake photo is taken, pairs can use a photo booth to take their own snapshots.
