Local business celebrates two years accident free

The Fulton Aramark location, a uniform services company, celebrated two years of being accident free with a dinner on Wednesday. Trent Thorn, Aramark regional vice president of the mid-central region, attended the dinner. The streak is the longest among the 85 plants nationally.

Troy Kindle, production manager for the Fulton Aramark location, said the two-year stretch is a result of increasing safety awareness with the employees. Involving employees in committee meetings and giving incentives like gift cards have accomplished this, Kindle said. The biggest reason for Fulton Aramark's safety improvement, Kindle added, is that the their own safety.

"I think the employees got a great sense of empowerment," Kindle said. "It's their baby now."
