Kingdom City man held on drug, traffic charges

Lionel Shaunta Gurley, 35, Kingdom City, was arrested Tuesday by Fulton Police on drug and traffic charges.

Police reported they stopped Gurley for a traffic offense on Route F near Gaylord at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday.

Gurley was detained after it was determined that he was driving a vehicle while his operator's license was revoked.

The arresting officer reported he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

During an investigation, police reported Gurley had concealed in the clothing he was wearing 12 individual bags of marijuana weighing a total of about 21 grams and two pills police believe contained MDMA, a street drug known as ecstasy.

Police report they also found additional drug paraphernalia in Gurley's vehicle.
