A joint three-month investigation by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and Kansas law enforcement officers ended early Tuesday with the arrest of Craig Long, 42, Williamsburg.
Sgt. Clay Chism of the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office said the joint investigation began on Jan. 3 when Callaway County deputies and a detective from the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department executed a search warrant at Long’s residence near Williamsburg.
The search warrant was issued during a Kansas investigation of a felony sexual offense involving a child.
Several items were seized during the search warrant at Williamsburg.
On March 5, Kansas authorities issued a felony arrest warrant for Long as a result of the joint Missouri-Kansas investigation.

I find this hard to swallow about Craig But I will say I don't know all the facts of the case. I would believe it more like to be a case stemming from a custody issue with one of his girl friends and an attempt on his part to protect the child but again I say I don't know all the facts of the case. If it were a case of an under aged girl again with his passed I don't believe he would have knowingly been that stupid as to knowingly get involved with a jail bait. To often sexual abuse is called in cases of vengeance rather than truth unfortunately in our justice system when it comes to this type of crime you guilty until proven innocent. This leads your name being put on the list and your life ruined whether or not your found guilty and I've never heard of a name being removed after the damage was done or an apology from any state officials that put it on.

No....You dont know the facts about the case.....But I dont think the FBI would spend the money or man power to look for someone for 2 months on a hearsay or something an ex with "vengence" would have made up!!,They had to have had some hard evidence to be able to place him under arrest and to hold him......If he did do something to a defensless child, then he should burn in hell!! That is going to mess that kid up for the rest of his life, and not to mention what its probably done to this childs mother and family!!!
