For the third year in a row, Fulton's human kids aren't the only little family members who will be out hunting for eggs this Easter.
The Callaway County Humane Society's Easter egg hunt for dogs will return 2 p.m. March 24 at the Fulton Dog Park.
For $3 per dog at the door, Callaway's pooches can go on the hunt for Easter "eggs" filled with dog treats. Rabbit-ears and other costumes are optional but encouraged.
Humane Society Board Vice President Nancy Hickman said she came up with the idea when she saw a similar event online.
"It doesn't raise a lot of money, but I think it is a lot of fun," said Hickman. Society President Sandy Corbet added that the event makes use of the dog park and gives pet owners something fun to do with their dogs.
