Lady Blue Jays succumb to No. 12 Storm in Division III first round

INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Westminster College Lady Blue Jays simply couldn't weather this particular Storm.

Playing before its home crowd, No. 12 Simpson College produced the game's first 12 points and the Storm went on to slam Westminster 91-58 on Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Division III women's tournament at Cowles Fieldhouse.

The Lady Blue Jays - making their second straight trip to the national tournament - ended the season with a 17-11 record. It was the first-ever meeting between Westminster and Simpson.

The Storm (26-2), qualifying for the Division III tournament for the ninth year in a row, set a school record and tied another mark, respectively, Friday night for the program's largest margin of victory and most points scored in a tournament game.
