Fulton woman re-appointed to state social workers agency

Terri R. Marty of Fulton was re-appointed Tuesday by Gov. Jay Nixon to the State Committee for Social Workers.

The State Committee for Social Workers issues licenses to clinical social workers and baccalaureate social workers in Missouri.

The committee also assesses the competence of licensees to practice in Missouri. The committee investigates all complaints against the people it has awarded licenses.

A licensed social worker for the state of Missouri, Marty also is a current member of the State Committee for Social Work.

Marty served previously as the director of psychiatric social work for Fulton State Hospital. She also was the assistant director of Guhleman Forensic Center Intermediate Security in Fulton.

Marty also served as the group home director for Fulton State Hospital.

The governor's appointment Tuesday of Marty as a member of the State Committee for Social Workers is for a term ending Oct. 28, 2016.
