Jerry Lee Bailey, 22, Fulton, has been arrested and charged with second-degree statutory rape.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Fulton Police in the investigation.

The Sheriff's Office reported it received a call at 12:17 p.m. Sunday of a missing and possible runaway 16-year-old girl from the Fulton area.

The Sheriff's Office reported the juvenile had been dropped off at a Kingdom City area business about 8 p.m. Saturday and had not returned home early Sunday afternoon.

A deputy reported he followed up leads throughout the afternoon and learned the juvenile might be with Bailey, a Fulton area resident.

On Sunday evening the juvenile was found in Fulton. The Sheriff's Office reported an investigation led to the charge against Bailey that she had been with Bailey and the juvenile engaged in sexual acts with Bailey during their time together.
