Lavy realizes "dream', signs with Missouri

Former North Callaway baseball standout will transfer, has three years of eligibility

Zach Lavy had signed a letter of intent. He'd talked to his coaches.

He'd even turned away interest from mid-major college baseball programs like Southeast Missouri State and Bradley University.

In his mind, Lavy would be returning to the Jefferson College Vikings for his sophomore season.

Of course, all of that can change in an instant when a major Division I school comes calling. Especially one that's your dream school and is located just 30 minutes away and plays in the toughest baseball conference in America.

Lavy got that call from the Missouri Tigers and the former North Callaway standout officially became a Tiger when he signed his letter of intent last Sunday.
