ASHLAND — Obviously affected by some disheartening news, the North Callaway Ladybirds made a shocking, early exit from the Southern Boone Classic.
Having learned that sophomore guard Elaine Brinker is done for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury for the second straight year, No. 2 seed North Callaway was ousted from tournament play Wednesday night after suffering a 41-40 loss to No. 8 Father Tolton Catholic in the consolation semifinals.
