Fulton woman arrested after string of car thefts

An investigation following a burglary and vehicle theft in Mokane lead to the arrest of a Fulton woman Monday in which three stolen vehicles were recovered.

Jennifer K. Coleman, 26, was arrested by Callaway County Sheriff's Deputies following an investigation when she allegedly stole a vehicle from a home she had burglarized in downtown Mokane.

The sheriff's office received a report of a residential burglary there 10:45 a.m. Jan. 26. The victim stated a burglar had entered their home, stolen items and stole a family vehicle out of the exterior garage on the property. The family was home at the time of the incident but unaware of the burglar.

Investigating deputies identified the suspect as Coleman, who was already wanted on a Callaway County failure to appear warrant stemming from an original burglary charge.
