An American bald eagle was spotted Sunday morning feeding on an animal carcass near Calwood in Callaway County.

Hank Graf of Calwood brought a photograph of the bald eagle to the Fulton Sun Monday.

"The photograph was taken by a special motion-detector camera. My neighbor Jim Hall sets up motion-detector cameras up to photograph wildlife," Graf said.

"Bald eagles are not common to this area. Some areas of the state where they are more common have Eagle Days dedicated to watching bald eagles," Graf said.
