Ducks Unlimited shrimp boil returns with huge gun raffle

Whether you love cajun shrimp, drinks, games or guns, you'll have a chance to support Ducks Unlimited March 9.

The Callaway County Ducks Unlimited all-you-can-eat Shrimp Boil returns March 9 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Fulton. For $30 you get bottomless cajun shrimp or steak, salad, rolls, corn, new potatoes and dessert, as well as a one-year membership to Ducks Unlimited and subscription to their magazine.

"I would guess this is probably the 10th or 12th one, so we've got a little experience with it," Plybon said of the popular event. "As a rule I'd say our dinners usually gross about $25,000. It goes to Ducks Unlimited, Inc. and all proceeds go to wetlands conservation."

In addition to their traditional meal, the night will also include a new feature: Ducks Unlimited's "Wall of Guns." This provides hunters a choice of 30 shotguns, handguns and rifles displayed on a large banner on the wall. Winners pick which one they want.
