Annual black history program to focus on women

This year's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Black History Program, sponsored by the Fulton NAACP Branch and Youth Life Improvement Association, will focus on "Women Who Dared to Dream."

Event organizer Anna Braxton said the idea for this year's theme came from the annual Martin Luther King celebration in St. Louis, which a number of local NAACP members attend each year.

This year's event will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Guiding Light Missionary Church Annex.
