Fulton, Holts Summit postmasters reassigned

Postmasters in Fulton and Holts Summit have been reassigned to new temporary post office jobs in Central Missouri.

Fulton Postmaster Roger Bounds said he has been reassigned as the temporary officer in charge of the Capitol View Station Post Office in Jefferson City. The office is located at 1750 Jefferson St. in Jefferson City.

Bounds said the opening in the Capitol View Station Post Office in Jefferson City came when the former manager of that office, Jason Hirschvogel, was reassigned to the Columbia Post Office.

Bounds said the new job in Jefferson City is considered a promotion for him. At the same time, Bounds said, the current Jefferson City Postmaster, Don Knoth, plans to retire in a few years.

“I wanted to be in the job at Jefferson City to be in a better position to apply for the job of Jefferson city Postmaster when it becomes available,” Bounds said.
