Thunderbirds suffer third straight loss

MONTGOMERY CITY - Jerad Jordan put up a game-high 23 points and Montgomery County sent the North Callaway Thunderbirds to their third straight loss in a 56-49 Eastern Missouri Conference setback Tuesday night.

Jordan did most of his damage from the free-throw line, knocking down 9-of-10 attempts in the fourth quarter. Jordan finished 12-of-16 from the line as Montgomery County improved to 13-8 on the season and 5-1 in the EMO.

North Callaway was down 23-21 at halftime and 38-32 entering the fourth quarter. The Thunderbirds closed within 44-41 on senior guard Vance Allen's 3-pointer with 1 minute, 31 seconds to play, but could get no closer.
