Callaway County cancelations, closures, early releases and postponements for Friday

North Callaway, Fulton basketball games for Friday night postponed

With a wintry mix precipitation in the forecast, including several inches of snow expected by the National Weather Service, schools and organizations in Callaway County have already called off several events.

  • Callaway Senior Center is closed, no Christmas Bazaar on Saturday.
  • The Callaway Bank's Gold Leaf Club brunch has been canceled tomorrow.
  • Holts Summit City Hall will be closed for the rest of the day.

Fulton School District:

  • The Fulton High School play scheduled for tonight, "A Christmas Story," will be postponed until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 in the Allbritton Theatre at Fulton High School.
  • FHS basketball rescheduled for Jan. 9, and Wall of Fame induction postponed.

New Bloomfield School District:

  • New Bloomfield R-3, early dismissal at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
  • JV/V Girls Basketball vs Belle, JV/V Boys Basketball at South Callaway. Also JV girls basketball tourney at Southern Boone Saturday canceled.
  • Holts Summit City Hall has closed early for the rest of the day Friday, Dec. 13.

North Callaway School District:

  • Centralia basketball tournament postponed Friday night, North Callaway vs. Boonville girls' title game will be played 7:30 p.m. Saturday; North Callaway boys will play Southern Boone for fifth place at Centralia at 6 p.m. Saturday.
  • The middle school boys and girls basketball tournament at North Callaway has also been canceled, there will not be a makeup game.

South Callaway School District:

  • South Callaway R-II schools will dismiss at noon Friday.
  • South Callaway School District has canceled all sports teams practices for Friday, Dec. 13.
  • The middle school boys and girls basketball tournament at North Callaway has also been canceled, there will not be a makeup game.
