Hornets earn team title at Ft. Zumwalt North tourney

Sophomore Josh McClure (1-0) topped Warrenton's Dakota Werner by major decision 13-3 at 120 pounds.

Freshman Brandon Dews went 5-0 at 126 pounds, pinning Jacob Byers of Ft. Zumwalt North in 1 minute, 24 seconds to capture the individual title and score 23 points toward the team tally.

Four of Dews' five wins came via pinfall with one victory coming by way of a technical fall over Warrenton's Seth Brierly 16-0 in his fourth match.

Sophomore Andy Baysinger (5-0) swept through the competition at 152 pounds, toppling Dylan Wade of Warrenton by decision 10-5. Baysinger pinned two of his opponents and won by way of two forfeits to reach the final in his weight class to contribute 21 points to the Hornet effort.

Sophomore Clayton Bristol (5-0) pinned Joe Lasky of Union in 5:29, his fourth such win of the day, to take home the crown at 285 pounds. Bristol's win over Lasky in the final was his longest dual of the day as none of his first three pinfall wins went longer than two minutes.
