Six Callaway football players named to coaches’ all-state teams

Four South Callaway players and one each from Fulton and North Callaway were named to their respective Missouri Football Coaches Association all-state teams Friday.

South Callaway senior defensive back Garner Rudroff was a first-team selection in Class 2, while three teammates — senior offensive lineman Seth Jennings, senior punter Zach Marty and junior kick returner Cory Hanger — were second-team picks.

North Callaway senior defensive lineman Tyler Taylor was also a second-team choice in Class 2, while Fulton senior wide receiver Chris Tilson was a third-team selection in Class 3.

Rudroff, Jennings, Marty and Hanger were also named to the MFCA’s Class 2, all-District 6 squad. Senior linebacker Korey Bonine, senior wide receiver Ethan Ward, junior quarterback Troy Hentges, junior offensive lineman Dakoda Ballard and junior wide receiver Mason Shoemaker also received all-district status from South Callaway.

Taylor was also joined on the all-District 6 team by three North Callaway teammates — senior wide receiver Miguel Hudson, senior offensive lineman Brett Metcalf and junior linebacker Michael Pezold.

Tilson was joined on the Class 3, all-District 6 squad by six Fulton teammates. Picking up the recognition were senior offensive lineman Derrick Coffelt, senior quarterback Joe Schlemeier, senior running back Kegan Lee, senior wide receiver Dalton Horstmeier, senior linebacker Cole Kettle and sophomore running back Travis Dean.
