Jennifer Books knows most girls her daughter's age want lots of presents for their 10th birthdays.

But Lydia Books of Williamsburg decided to use her birthday party as a chance to help other children who were less fortunate. Instead of presents, the fourth grader had guests bring stuffed animals to donate to the Fulton Police Department to use to comfort children in bad situations.
