Forgetting to turn on the lights of a truck while driving it in Fulton shortly after midnight resulted in the arrest Tuesday of Brandon Lee Mallicoat, 17, Fulton.

At 12:12 a.m. Tuesday a Fulton Police officer noticed a truck moving along the Fulton roundabout at Business 54 and Second Street with no headlights displayed.

The officer stopped the truck, which traveled east on Second Street and stopped at the Westlake Hardware store parking lot.

During the traffic stop, the officer noticed Mallicoat had a large sum of money in the vehicle that was separated into bundles and some of the bundles were joined together with paper clips.

While running a routine vehicle license check, the officer learned it was registered to Bob's Carwash and that the business had been burglarized including theft of the truck.
