The North Callaway Thunderbirds baseball team needed a gritty effort to halt its slide.
The bottom of North Callaway's batting order was responsible for producing all three runs in the top of the eighth inning Saturday as the Thunderbirds stopped a four-game losing streak with a 3-0 Eastern Missouri Conference win over Bowling Green.
