No. 4 Lady Owls golf team wins third straight

BOONVILLE — The nationally-ranked William Woods University Lady Owls golf team extended its impressive streak.

Paced by individual medalist Jamie Palermo, William Woods — ranked No. 4 in the NAIA — won its third straight tournament by easily capturing the title of the Central Methodist University Eagle Open on Tuesday at Hailridge Golf Course.

Palermo, a junior, finished with a 1-under par 143 total (71-72) over two days to pick up medalist honors. Meanwhile, the Lady Owls coasted to the team championship by compiling a 594 cumulative score (298-296).
