Owls sweep AMC twinbill against Park

The William Woods University Owls baseball team paired a late rally with a hitting rampage in sweeping an American Midwest Conference doubleheader with Park University on Friday.

Senior center fielder Greg Hamrock and junior shortstop Stephen Kohler both drove in runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 3-all tie, lifting William Woods to a 5-3 win over Park in the first game at Owls Field.

The Owls then poured it on in the nightcap, breaking out for 14 hits - highlighted by junior first baseman Eilert Meyers' three-run home run - in a 9-4 triumph over the Pirates.
