It could have been a lineout, it could have been a groundout.
However the Fulton Hornets recorded the final out of their first win, the manner didn’t matter to junior Tyler Echelmeier.
“I don’t care who made the final out,” Echelmeier said. “The fact that we made the final out was really nice.”
Echelmeier started Friday’s game against the Hannibal Pirates on the mound, in a mess and in a four-run hole. He finished it at first base, squeezing a shallow pop-up from Pirates left fielder Austin Lewton in his mitt to secure Fulton’s 7-6 comeback over Hannibal in North Central Missouri Conference action Friday night at the high school athletic complex.
