Fulton woman wins $50,000 lottery prize

When Jana Peyla of Fulton told her husband Tony she had won $50,000 playing a Missouri Lottery scratchers game, he didn’t believe her.

“He refused to believe it,” she recalled with a laugh.

Peyla works at the Midwest Petroleum convenience store at 500 Highway 54 South in Fulton.

But after she contacted the Missouri Lottery and learned she had one the top prize in the Slingo scratchers game, Tony also began to smile.

“He was freaking out,” Peyla said.
