Water District No. 2 is finalist in statewide water taste contest

Callaway County Public Water Supply District No. 2 is a finalist in a statewide water taste competition known as the Great American Water Taste Test.

The contest is conducted in Missouri by the Missouri Rural Water Association.

Tony Cox, Water District No. 2 general manager, said he is pleased the district is a finalist in the water taste contest.

"Of course it is important to have high quality water," Cox said, "but it also is needs to taste good."

Cox said the water district is honored to be a finalist in the statewide taste-test competition.

"They receive samples from rural water districts from around the state. This caught me off guard when we learned we were a finalist. This is the first year we have entered the contest," Cox said.
