Holts Summit home damaged by fire

Volunteer firemen from the Holts Summit Fire Protection District battled a Wednesday evening residential fire at 110 Dogwood St. in Holts Summit.

Four fire trucks and 20 volunteers responded to the residential fire.

When firemen arrived they found smoke showing from a main floor window. The fire was quickly contained and most of the damage was limited to two rooms.

Volunteer firemen also assisted in the initial clean up, which was completed at 7 p.m.

Scott Pasley, spokesman for the Holts Summit Fire Protection District, said no damage estimate is available.

Pasley said during the fire one truck from Station 2 and additional personnel were staged at Station 1 to continue to provide fire protection service to homes in that district during the incident.
