Brick district gets new yogurt shop

Shoppers in Fulton's downtown brick district will now have a new place to stop for a tasty break.

Coming in October is Lulu's Frozen Yogurt, a self-serve yogurt shop opening at the corner of 5th and Nichols streets.

Store manager and Fulton High School teacher Andrea Ravelo said the yogurt store still didn't have a set opening date, but would open in the coming weeks.

Lulu's will feature a rotating variety of flavored frozen yogurt sold by the ounce that guests can serve themselves and top with fruits, candies, cereal and other toppings. Yogurt will be served out of machines with a mix option, allowing for customers to mix and match flavors, but Ravelo said where Lulu's will really stand out is in the quality.

"It's real stuff," he said. "The cheesecake has real cheesecake, the pumpkin has real pumpkin puree. It's really different from other kinds that just have the extract."
