Sheriff's Office updates website to answer questions, connect with citizens

In an effort to reach out to the county's citizens, the Callaway County Sheriff's Office has extended a new technological arm.

Their new and updated website, www.callawaysheriff.org, features up-to-date information about Callaway's registered offenders and outstanding warrants, a Frequently Asked Questions section and a contact form for citizens to get in touch with the office, among other information.

County sheriff Dennis Crane said the new site improved vastly upon their former bare-bones web page, and the update was done in an effort to keep citizens informed.

"The old (site) was in desperate need and we took some time doing the new one," Crane said. "The biggest thing we have is of course the offender list, that's been updated. Basically technology is the way anybody is connecting anymore."
