For three weeks, the Fulton Hornets were a team held back by their own hold-ups. Horribly-timed mistakes marred the Hornets in their trio of losses to open the season.
But at halftime of Friday night’s homecoming game against the Moberly Spartans, it seemed as if the Spartans — not the Hornets — would be done in by their own miscues.
But by game’s end, it was the same old story for Fulton, which dropped its North Central Missouri Conference opener to Moberly 26-13 at Robert E. Fischer Jr. Stadium.
