Karrena L. Carter, 26, was arrested on charges including endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful use of a weapon after the Fulton Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call at her Churchill residence at approximately 2:20 a.m.

According to an FPD press release, an investigation into the incident revealed that Carter had arrived home from a bar and was holding a knife to the chest of her sleeping boyfriend, 28-year-old George Olivarez. When Olivarez woke up and took the knife away from her, Carter then allegedly grabbed a second knife and threatened to harm the couple's two children while standing over their 4-month-old child with a steak knife, which Olivarez also took away from her.

"He (then) went into the kids' room and locked the door until we got there," said Sgt. Stan Holt

Carter was placed under arrest and charged with armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, second degree domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child. She is being held at the Callaway County Jail on $29,500 bond.
