A Fulton child was taken to University Hospital in Columbia Saturday afternoon after he ran behind a vehicle and was struck.
According to a press release from the Fulton Police Department, officers responded to a vehicle accident involving a 4-year-old child on Stonemill Drive. The release states Kimberly Glenn was backing out of a parking space when the child ran behind her vehicle.
"The 4-year-old was playing behind the car, she didn't see him," said Maj. Roger Rice. "She didn't even know he was there."
Rice said the child's leg was run over and he also received abrasions on his back.
There are no charges pending.
