Road re-opening event set Friday

Upgrade provided to help add 30 jobs

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday will mark the re-opening and upgrade of Callaway County Road 256 near the OCCI Inc. plant west of Fulton.

The road upgrade was supported by a $300,000 grant through the Community Development Block Grant program administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

Bruce Hackmann, president of the Fulton Area Development Corporation, said the grant was designed to support the expansion and creation of 30 new jobs at OCCI.

The 10 a.m. Friday outdoor ceremony will be located where County Road 256 intersects with County Road 257 at the OCCI complex at 3200 County Road 257. Parking for the event will be at OCCI's parking area.
