McCaskill to visit with students today at Westminster

As part of her statewide campaign tour through Missouri, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill will be in Fulton today at Westminster College to discuss the federal student loan program with college students.

McCaskill is scheduled to meet with students at 4:45 p.m. today at the Hunter Activity Center on the campus of Westminster College.

Erik Dorey of McCaskill's campaign said McCaskill will be at the University of Missouri in Columbia at 3 p.m. today to meet with students. Both stops are part of her four-day "On Our Campus, On Our Side Statewide Listening Tour."

Dorey said McCaskill's opponent, Republican Todd Akin, has advocated policies that would eliminate key programs that help keep college affordable for Missouri's working families and has equated federal student loans to "stage three cancer."
