Two Callaway County men are in custody after arrests on felony warrants early Saturday morning.
According to a press release from the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, officers received information that John Atterberry, 38, of Portland, who was wanted on a parole absconder warrant and a Callaway County failure to appear warrant for stealing, was at a residence on Meller Road. Upon entry, "Atterberry was taken into custody without incident."
According to Missouri Casenet, Atterberry is scheduled to appear in Callaway Circuit Court on Sept. 7 on misdemeanor attempted theft and first degree trespassing charges filed on June 12.
Also in the residence at the time was Homer Allen, who also had several warrants out for his arrest.
According to the press release, Allen, 25, of Steedman, was arrested on three Callaway County failure to appear warrants . He also was interviewed and arrested in connection to a felony property damage case from July 30.
