Field-position difficulties haunt Hornets in loss to Tigers

There were two games going on between the Fulton Hornets and the Versailles Tigers on Friday night. There was the the struggle for points and the battle for field position.

In both instances, the Hornets came up just a little bit short.

All three Versailles scoring drives began in Fulton territory. So the Tigers won that battle and thus won the game, spoiling the Hornets’ home opener 19-7 at Robert E. Fischer Jr. Stadium.
