On arrival, officers found Ray outside the home detained by a citizen. An investigation revealed Ray had burglarized the home, and the home's occupants found him inside when they had returned.

"The owner actually came home, caught him in the house and (Ray) fled," said FPD Major Roger Rice. "He didn't' steal anything so there wasn't anything to pick up or return. The owner did confront him, he jumped out of a window and apparently the owner chased him down and got him on the ground when we got there."
