T-Birds' passing game burns Comets

The North Callaway Thunderbirds roll into district play with another reason to cause distress for opposing defenses.

Senior quarterback Jacob Haubner passed for a season-high 241 yards and threw touchdown passes to three different receivers Friday night, and surging North Callaway topped off the regular season with a 42-15 manhandling of Marionville.

The Thunderbirds' prolific passing totals augmented a running attack that accounted for 166 yards as 13 different players carried the ball a total of 51 times.

"More than anything, you don't want to be just a running team or a passing team," North Callaway head coach Mike Emmons said. "We seemed to have found that balance."
