New state trooper named to serve Callaway County

David L. Fouch, a graduate of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy, has received his first patrol assignment as a trooper in Callaway County.

Capt. Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer of Troop F, said Fouch has been assigned to Troop F, Zone 15, which includes Callaway County.

Troop F includes Callaway County and 12 other Central Missouri counties.

Fouch was appointed to the Patrol on April 2 as a member of the 95th Recruit Class. He graduated from the Patrol Academy on Sept. 21.

During the graduation ceremony, Fouch was honored with the Superintendent's Award, which is presented to the top overall recruit in each class.

Fouch also earned the Academic Award for having the highest overall grade-point average at the Patrol Academy.

Fouch is a 2007 graduate of La Plata High School in La Plata, Mo.

He is a 2011 graduate of Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.

Fouch started his new assignment patrolling Callaway County on Oct. 9. He will work under the supervision of Sgt. Wallace V. Ahrens.

His field training officer is Trooper Brandon W. Adamson.
