An addendum approved by the Auxvasse Council at their meeting Tuesday to the contract with the city’s engineers, Allstate Consultants, clarifies a payment schedule with Allstate and should place Auxvasse’s water system improvements project higher on grant lists.
The DNR-mandated update to the city’s water system, which includes a new well and facility north of town, an upgrade to existing mains and new mains along Park, Harrison, Main, Mary and Walnut streets, is anticipated to cost approximately $1,960,750.
The addendum was brought before the council by Tony King with Allstate Consultants. It adds that Allstate is “responsible for preparation and (Auxvasse) is responsible for approval of the Preliminary Engineering Report/Facility Plan to be submitted to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.”
It also clarifies that Allstate would provide construction services from the beginning of construction until one month after final acceptance of construction and that they would give Auxvasse an Operations and Maintenance Manual for the water systems to meet DNR requirements.
