MOKANE — The South Callaway Bulldogs would miss on a fourth-and-8 pass from junior quarterback Jason Kimminau to junior tailback Garner Rudroff in the end zone to start the second half.
Luckily for South Callaway, and unfortunately for the North Callaway Thunderbirds, the Bulldogs didn’t miss on many more scoring chances.
No. 2 seed South Callaway (10-1) — trailing 6-0 at halftime — dropped 28 points on No. 3 North Callaway and held on for a 28-12 win over the Thunderbirds in the Class 2, District 6 semifinals Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs will play at top-seeded Blair Oaks for the District 6 title at 7 p.m. Monday.
