SPRINGFIELD — Having been immersed in the state tennis experience, Josh Hurt and Trevor Steinbeck now have a blueprint on what will be required to return.
The Fulton juniors exited the 84th MSHSAA boys’ state tennis championships after bowing to Liberty North’s Marc Ohlhausen and Charles Healey 6-1 and 6-2 in the consolation quarterfinals of the Class 1 doubles tournament on Friday at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
Hurt and Steinbeck — both newcomers to the state championships — ended the season with a 24-4 record.
