JEFFERSON CITY - Fulton junior Jenny McCarty twice ran faster, but unfortunately it didn't translate into state titles.
Still, McCarty came away a two-time medalist after producing respective fourth-place finishes in the girls' 1,600 and 3,200 meters at the Class 3 state track and field championships at Lincoln University's Dwight T. Reed Stadium.
