St. Louis — The Fulton Hornets tennis team has accomplished a lot this season. But a Class 1 state team title will be one objective that eludes the Hornets.
Fulton’s season ended with a 5-0 loss to Mary Institute/Country Day in the Class 1 state quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon. The Hornets (23-4) dropped all five singles matches in straight sets, ending a season in which they set a school record for wins and made their deepest postseason run.
