HIGHLAND, Ill. — The Westminster College Blue Jays baseball team was one out away from prolonging its season for at least one more game.
But that last out never came.
No. 4 seed Westminster allowed a pair of two-out runs to No. 2 Fontbonne University in the ninth inning, falling to the Griffins 8-7 in an elimination game of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship late Thursday night.
