When the number was reached, Zach Lavy had nothing but confidence with North Callaway’s man on the mound, senior Collin Brinker.
“Once we got four (runs), I knew it was over,” said Lavy, the Thunderbirds’ senior shortstop. “He’s just been so dominant.”
Four was all it needed, but North Callaway tripled its run total in a 12-3 win over the Fatima Comets in the semifinals of the 18th-annual Fulton Tournament on Thursday night at the high school athletic complex.
The Thunderbirds now move on to face host Fulton for the tournament championship at 6:30 tonight.
